The sea does not reward those who are too
anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceless
as a beach - waiting for a gift from the sea. Anne Morrow Lindbergh
I think the summer is a time
of emptying one self. Letting go of the
hard work that has afforded some leisure, some solitude, some rest, some
stillness.
Waiting to hear from God, to
receive His gift, whatever it may be.
Time will tell. Listen.
Listen to the waves that crash over rocks making rough places
smooth; such is our life, smoothing out
the edges. Let time and physics do
its deep work.
We are creation. We are part of our environment. Let creative energy and the Creator's power do its
deep awakening in us. We need to
listen. We need to let go. We need to be still and know that He is
God. We need to surrender!
